Investment Manager Under Investigation, Assets Frozen
If you're an investment adviser under investigation for allegedly mismanaging your client's hard-earned dollars, what's the best way to demonstrate innocence, remorse and sanity? Well if you're Marcus Schrenker, 38, you fly to Florida on your private plane, make a fake distress call and intentionally crash in the Panhandle. Local authorities were not amused and Schrenker was just transferred from a Pensacola jail to a federal prison in Tallahassee. Meanwhile a judge ordered his assets frozen yesterday after his wife and girlfriend testified against him. The wife (pictured) claims she had no knowledge her husband had misappropriated client money. Michelle Schrenker's lawyer offered a compelling defense, "She did nothing wrong. She married the wrong idiot is what she did."
